HOW TO MAKE TEA ANIMATION
This project was inspired by a scene in Wes Anderson's Isle of Dogs. In the scene, we see the making of a sushi step by step, and that aesthetic really interested me. Instead of sushi, I chose to make a nice cup of tea. The look I was aiming for was a realistic render with a non realistic character.
I tried a different color scheme, but I wanted a warmer feel, since tea is a kind of drink that "hugs" and warms you.
One of the most interesting objects to make was the packet. I spent maybe more time than I needed to in order to make them the way I wanted, but I was really happy with the result.
Some assets like the table, the wood box, the cookie jar and the cabinet were textured in Substance Painter.
Overall, the final shots are very similar to the early draft. The order changed a bit and some elements had to be replaced but the story was always there from the start. Here's the first draft of thumbnails and then some frames from the final animation.
Here is the final animation :)
